A lot of my art work is drawn directly from photographs by wonderful photographers (some of which are mentioned in my 'favourite photographers' section), or from photographs I've found online or in magazines that I can't find information on.

So I'm never going to sell any of my originals, or reproductions, that have been drawn directly from a photograph. These drawings are mostly just exercises/for fun/to keep me from getting rusty ANYWAY. The drawings I do of statues, however, I feel are fair game.

There! Now you know, and now the photographers know. I just like to keep my back covered ;)

Addendum to Finis

The last journal entry I made was about me not being able to draw anymore, and now 16 months later I'm back on my artistic feet (so to speak... literally speaking, shouldn't that be hands?) and drawing again! I don't have a scanner at home, but as soon as I get to a library that has one I'll post not only the drawings that I've been doing recently, but also the ones from the sketchbook I took around Europe with me! So watch this space, there should be a whole fuck load of stuff coming soon.

Ha, it's funny, I'm half tempted to take down all my old images - I mean they're AWFUL. But I'm gonna keep them up because they're the most direct comparison of my work I'll ever have: my drawings now vs. the drawings I made two years ago. My style has changed so much! And considering I spent at least one of those years NOT DRAWING this amazes me. And I've improved! Holy christ on a stick, I've actually GOTTEN BETTER. Whodda thunk? Not me.

Since I started art college, I've slowly lost the heart to draw or paint anymore, I've lost confidence in myself (this is not true for everyone who starts art college, most people I know have really bloomed there, it just hasn't worked for me) and I simply don't want to do it anymore.

So this gallery is pretty non-existant until further notice, should I get my muse back. I'd delete it all together, but I don't remember where most of this stuff is anymore, so it's a little time capsule, I guess. The stuff's all ancient, anyway.

No comments are necessary to this post and yes, that means you, Jay! =P
